This is a presentation I created not too long ago  addressing some of the obligations and responsibilities of nonprofit board members.

This particular presentation:

• Briefly details what a nonprofit is and how it should operate.
• Lists typical board responsibilities and where board members can find themselves becoming personally responsible.
• Addresses compensation, conflicts, fiduciary duties, insurance coverage and decision making.
• Provides a few best practices and resources

Both Federal and Texas case-law and statutes  are provided for reference purposes. I’ve also included the outline for context.
